Eden Quad is the signature open space of the Medical Campus. It includes an outdoor dining terrace, outdoor seminar/amphitheater area, a water feature and open lawn spaces for passive recreation. The open space seeks to extend the Medical Science Building into the landscape to help give shape to these various program elements and integrate building with landscape. The open space, like the new building, also seeks a dialogue with the nearby University Commons open space project which utilizes sculpted landforms to give definition and expression to the outdoor space.
