Drawing it’s geometries from the heavily used pedestrian traffic routes crossing the space, the 34,000 s.f. Zimmer Plaza is designed as a rooftop quad which will provide open space for a sculpture garden as well as places for students to sit and study. The development of this roofscape takes what was a bleak, spatially disconnected and underused place and transforms it through the use of state of the art Green Roof technology into an oasis. The flowering trees, perennials, long grasses, and mown lawn in this garden will have a dramatic impact when encountered.
