GAP CORPORATE CAMPUS
SAN BRUNO, CALIFORNIA
The masterplanning and design of this corporate campus heralds a new movement in architecture, landscape, and product design. Hargreaves Associates collaborated with William McDonough and Ove Arup & Partners to create a truly innovative work environment. Three campus atria further amplify the Gap's commitment to a 'greener' corporate headquarters. The central atrium encloses an existing oak grove planted with species similar to those found in the Bay Area. Progressing up the hillside, a eucalyptus forest and hilltop meadow atrium provide spaces for employees to work or relax. Here, views to the Bay and peninsula, not previously accessible, become visible.
