Market Center plaza lies between two mixed use towers in downtown San Francisco. Responding to a larger network of urban plazas in the area, the design provides for both pedestrians and the users of Market Center. The design uses seating areas, water features, and large plantings of flowers to organize pedestrian movement, and animate the space with color and moving water. At the entry to the residential portion of the tower there is a public sculpture installation surrounded by table and chair seating under the canopy of a grove of trees.
