Hargreaves Associates is currently working with Arquitectonica to design a major commercial and entertainment complex for the city of Guangzhou China. Once completed the Taikoo Hui project will occupy an 11-acre superblock, combining high-end shopping, two boutique hotels, an office tower and a cultural center containing a performing arts theatre and library. The 4.5 million square foot development includes 3 acres of public open space in the form of on-structure gardens, plazas and outdoor dining terraces. The project will be completed in 2009.
