Cincinnati Art Museum Courtyard

This re-design for the historic courtyard at the Cincinnati Art Museum restores the southern terrace for an expanded cafe and garden viewing. The courtyard contains a parterre garden that recalls the historic design of the 1930’s and a granite fountain that enlivens the space and interacts with the asymmetrical north/south/ and east/west axes of the garden. The courtyard provides a new heart and focus for the revitalized museum by providing spaces for gathering, contemplation and celebration.
