Exploration Place

Exploration Place is a children’s museum and science center designed by Moshe Safdie Associates and sited in and adjacent to the Arkansas River, across from downtown Wichita. Hargreaves Associates developed the surrounding 14-acre landscape, which includes exhibition and play areas, a shaded festival plaza, a wetland, reflection pool, riverside miniature golf terraces, and entrance and parking areas. The park is part of a city-wide riverfront open space that provides access to walkers, runners and bicyclists.
