Confluence Park

San Jose, California

The confluence of Los Gatos Creek and the Guadalupe River forms a prominent point at the heart of the Guadalupe River Park known as Confluence Park. This major open space is composed of a large, multipurpose grass amphitheater and pyramidal landforms that buffer the street and create pockets for picnicking in groves of trees. Located across from San Jose’s Arena, the park’s urban edge includes linear seatwalls for groups awaiting buses, and spilling out from Arena events. The Park provides a variety of spaces, including a central open lawn, to accommodate multiple uses and user groups.
