DALLAS DOWNTOWN PARK AND OPEN SPACE MASTER PLAN
DALLAS, TEXAS
Hargreaves Associates (with Chan Krieger & Associates and Carter & Burgess) developed this master plan to transform Dallas’ declining business core into a vital and pedestrian oriented mixed-use district and to catalyze public and private redevelopment investments. The network of new parks, plazas and streetscapes is conceived as a diverse series of individual places that collectively satisfy the programmatic needs of residents, office workers, and visitors while expanding the zone of pedestrian amenity and activity throughout downtown. The Master Plan synthesizes input from politicians, business leaders, economists, local developers, and downtown residents to ensure that proposals are visionary as well as pragmatic.
