SAN RAMON CIVIC CENTER
SAN RAMON, CALIFORNIA
Working with Cannon Design and Anderson Brulé Architects, Hargreaves Associates created 3 master plan / open space options for a new 10-acre city center in San Ramon. Bordered by a recreational trail and a main thoroughfare for the city, the design principles guiding the master planning process were issues of civic presence, urban form, and neighborhood connections. Twenty-five to thirty-five percent of the site was allocated to open space, including courtyards, plazas, gardens, and tree groves, which capture the agrarian history of the region.
