Finalists shortlisted for UCD Future Campus Architectural Design Competition

University College Dublin’s Future Campus – International Design Competition holds the purpose of awarding the winning architectural firm with the task of designing the university as an icon representing its vision to create something extraordinary and brilliant. It is intended to create a stronger physical presence and identity for the university within Dublin.

Among ninety-eight teams from 28 countries that entered the competition, six design firms were shortlisted for second stage. The shortlisted firms are:

Diller Scofidio + Renfro (US) John Ronan Architects (US) Steven Holl Architects (US) Studio Libeskind (US) UNStudio (Netherlands) O’Donnell + Tuomey (Ireland)

The shortlisted firms will visit the Belfield campus site in April and submit concept designs which will be published online. After the jury assesses the final submissions and interviews the teams, the winning design is anticipated to be announced in August 2018.
