The Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Master Plan aims to anchor an expanding convention facility into the regional fabric, punctuated by a high speed rail station. A new network of pedestrian-focused plazas wind through mixed use redevelopment blocks integrating the facility into existing, widely distributed cultural landscapes and landmark structures. The Plan reorients and expands the facility by heightening the pivotal position it occupies as a connector to southerly, emerging neighborhoods, thereby catalyzing growth and integration of expanded residential districts, while reinforcing key aspects of the Texas Trees Urban Forest Master Plan: more public trees are crucial to make Dallas a more pleasant place.
The Master Plan was completed in collaboration with WSP, TVS Design and Moody Nolan.
