Penn's Landing Park
Philadelphia, PA

The 12 acre Penn’s Landing Park decks over I-95 and Columbus Blvd, connecting center city Philadelphia to the Delaware River.

The park offers something for everyone and is a destination for many diverse neighborhoods as well as visitors to the city.  Its shady groves, gardens, expansive greens frame sweeping views of the river and the Benjamin Franklin Bridge.  Embedded within the green framework are places for exploratory play, water play, ice skating in winter and year-round festivals as well as day to day use.  The café and pavilion by Kieran Timberlake will be the city’s first zero net carbon building, with the café terrace like a ship’s prow overlooking the lawn amphitheater, river, and bridge.
